No, I kind of hate full Jedi in pretty much every system so far and the rules are still beta.

My problem is that most of the time pretty good meant broken as hell and dominate the game. In the mythos at least, a relatively trained Jedi could just wipe out everyone or solve every problem with the force.
I'm not opposed to it eventually, but I refuse to run an all Jedi game. I'd need to see the latest force rules to see how it would run.

Anyone want me to spec something out for you to tweak? Let's kick this off in the New Year!
The Outer Rim calls. And I'm not talking about buttholes.

Do you guys prefer to be an established crew (a few missions or worked a few times on and off) or strangers thrown together by circumstance? Also, I found an interesting approach to getting on the same page (pun). I don't agree with the only use this one way and don't compromise, but there is some utility to what the general min/max is. bankuei.wordpress.com/2010/03/27/the-same-page-tool/Thoughts on using it to align expectations?

I was actually reading that article the other day. Personally, I like the slightly more established crew; makes for better character interaction and less infighting.

I got the rules somewhat down and the character is mostly done. I went with assassin, since it covers a lot of skills I wanted. The heavy is a bit to combat focused. An exile takes forever to get good and would be a pain worrying about people seeing me use the force. I got a cold so I haven't been playing with it to much.

So dropping force sensitivity? Just checking how much I have to bone up on the rules.

Looks good. Just an FYI, stats can't be increased through XP spend after character creation. The only way after creation is a talent at the end of each tree that increases a stat by 1. As far as how the power levels work out, a 3 in a stat is solid and gives you a pretty good shot at your checks in trained skills. A 4 is excellent. You can pass a lot of untrained skills for that stat (that allow untrained checks) and skill training makes you pretty amazing at even the hardest checks. A 5 is ungodly and almost never worth the investment in my opinion unless you want to uber min/max, which a player did once and basically could only pilot a ship like an omnipotent being and nothing else.

Yeah, I was debating shooting my INT up to a 4, but then I figured that it's pretty much all I could do at the point (since I already boosted to a 3).

Totally depends on your preference. I end up trading the one 4 stat in lieu of talents, then end up never taking them because I'm buying skills.
I like the slicer talents though and they give some nice RP/plot point ideas that let you take advantage of them.

BTW standard equipment purchases for this game (no extra obligation for additional XP or credits at the moment though). 500 credits doesn't buy a ton, so spend wisely.
