Kran sneers at Laohu. "Let's just get this over with." He storms out.

Drake grins, content in his annoyance of his comrades. He follows.

You leave the ancient walls of the castle and make your way through the cobblestone streets to the north. Most of the buildings in the central district are built of brick with the occasional wooden business to replace one that had fallen or burnt. However crossing the wall that surrounds the city proper and transitioning to the outer area can be jarring for those not familiar with Langen; it is a quick change from the steady and organized stonework to the cramped and irregular thatchworked homes.
This particular day, after a relatively heavy rainstorm, the roads are puddled and thick with mud. The barks of vendors and clambering of regular business invade your senses.

Drake will approach the nearest vendor or citizen who is at least "middle class" and ask where one might find a good drink and a better time *wink* if they know what he means.

Persuasion Roll(1d20)+5: 16,+5 Total:21 NOTES ------------------------- This field records your latest roll at its top. Modified results that would produce a number less than one display as one. A middle-aged gentleman in a velvet trimmed tunic and well oiled boots tells you about the Wilting Oak. "It's where I enjoy kicking up my feet at the end of a long day of bartering, before heading back to the misses." He also adds that, while he's never partaken himself, "there is a fair selection of madams there to sooth a hungry soul. Madam Avery is the misses of the establishment, if you need a name to ask for."

Drake dips his head and bows a bit, "Why thank you sir. I'm sure the Wilting Oak will more than satisfy. Could you point us in the general direction? And if you should happen to see me there of an evening, consider the first round on me."

"From the look of you and your friend's attire, I would guess to wager that you don't normally frequent this district, so the Oak would have been easily missed in that case." He tells you that the bar is located nearer to the eastern gate (you came in through the western entrance to the district) and that if you have reached the walk-ups then you've gone too far. " He nods and smiles, and departs by giving his name (Jarden) before turning to an approaching customer.

Drake turns to his colleagues, "Shall we?" And waves a hand toward the eastern gates.

Laohu nods serenely, he takes out his alms bowl and follows at a bit of a distance. "Alms.....Alms...."

It's hard to make out, because the people - especially in this district - use a lot of slang that you just aren't used to. However you do hear quite a number of times about a lady named Margalyse who has been "noodling" frequently with "ringed gents" since the unfortunate and untimely passing of her husband.
