Kran walks up to one of the gentleman that's talking about Margalyse and says, "Excuse me, I'm looking for Margalyse, she has some "talents" that I require." He puts on his best "looking for a good time" face. The two gentlemen discussing her exploits could almost be father and son, though surprisingly it's the older one regaling the other of her talents. "Tyrell told me that she often favors the Creaky Pantry in the earlier parts of the night, though nearer to the witching hour she starts to search for more lively venues."

Kran smiles wide, "The Creaky Pantry sounds like a fine place for my activities! Where can one find such a place?"

Laohu wanders away slightly but stays within earshot

Kran smiles wide, "The Creaky Pantry sounds like a fine place for my activities! Where can one find such a place?" He gives you detailed though rather convoluted directions; very yokal in design. The basics of the rundown are that it is in the northern part of the district, though not near the district lines. If you head west for 3 blocks and then turn north at the Kemp Farmstand ("Not the Cremp one. It can be confusing."), you'll want to keep walking for another 5 minutes give or take, until you come to the Old Lavender's Miller. After that, head east, but before you see Cromwell's (" He's kinda new to these parts, and sells some strange mechanical doohickies".) stop, and it should be right around the corner. "You can't miss it!"

Drake will nod along pleasantly and wait until the conversation is over (just trying to keep things moving from my end; not stop further interactions). Turning to Kran, "By the name alone, that sounds dreadful. I say we head to the place I found. It sounds much less working class. We could always split up too."

Kran turns to Drake, "I trust the people who live here more than I trust you. They know where she is. Let's go Laohu!" Kran grabs Laohu's hand and drags him the way the townsperson told him.

"I can only imagine what kind of trouble you fools are going to get into. You're going to need my help. Or have you forgotten, I can literally detect magic. Besides, a widow with needs. Witch or not, I may need to interrogate this one." He hurries along after them.

Laohu allows himself to be led briefly and then disengages himself from Kran. He takes the few coppers and silver pieces he collected and gives them to a group of children playing in the street. "Stay out of trouble and fill your bellies young ones." He turns to Kran and Drake "I believe we should also find our own repast at the Creaky Pantry and by enjoying a fine lunch discover that which we want to know."

Making your way to the Pantry, the roads and streets in this area are a bit wider and the buildings are a bit larger, however the people don't seem to be quite as friendly as they were closer to the wall.
This bar is a decent size and, for the middle of the day, surprisingly busy. There's a player harpsichord playing an unfamiliar tune very off key, and a couple of barmaids cleaning up some tables and spilt drinks. An older gentleman with wispy, long hair is splitting bread into small portions behind the bar.

Kran approaches the barkeep. "Excuse me sir, some of your finest mead if you please, & some extra coin if you can tell me the whereabouts of a lady named Margalyse."

Laohu motions to Drake and sits at one of the tables away from other people if possible. "Our young friend is quite impetuous, no? He is like the squirrel who shrieks at the blowing winds. His dislike for you clouds his judgement and may interfere with our investigation. Have you any suggestions?"

Drake sits down at the table and relaxes a bit. "You're direct, I respect that. But what we do will require a bit of subtlety at times. Certainly walking immediately up to the barkeep and asking about a potential quarry is not how I would approach the situation. For the sake of my own well-being, perhaps I can hold my tongue a bit more so as to not prod the owlbear. I can exercise restraint. It's a critical part of noble life after all."

"The brilliance of the sun will shine whether the sun wishes it or not." He inclines his head towards Drake. "I harbor no illusions about our relationship and I can trust that you will look to your own best interests.....always. As to the matter at hand we must find our quarry before we may exact justice and to that end we will have need our your.....powers. Do you feel any magical energies here?" He waves has hand vaguely around indicating the room.

Drake maintains a pleasant demeanor. "I'd be happy to oblige if I could. I have the capability, but the bracers our patrons so thoughtfully provided limit my abilities. I believe if you speak the proper incantation, I will be free to make such a determination." He holds up his wrists as if to say, "Well, go ahead."
