I note on a houserule specifically for this campaign:
This will be, at it's roots, an investigation campaign. While there will be many aspects to encounters and situations, a new - and important - part will be figuring out what is going on with each assignment. To handle this, a new Investigation mechanic will be introduced: Resources.
Each PC has a number of resources equal to their Proficiency Bonus. Resources come in two categories, Skill and Story, and can be used to gain Advantage on a roll. Skill resources are tied into your trained skills, while story resources are tied to your background. If during an investigation, you want to make a skill check to discover clues or find a lead, you can use a skill resource. This represents more physical or intellectual means of investigation. Likewise, you can use a story resource to pull something from your background; perhaps you have a special contact, or a connection within your temple, or your parent's trade provides you with unique knowledge. This is meant to stand for the more social or cunning side of the job.
Your use of Resources is not limited to only your part of the investigation. Any PC can add their Resources to another PC's roll to gain Advantage.
In addition, whenever you roll a natural 1 during an investigation, you may use a resource to reroll the check though not with Advantage.

When do the Resources recharge? Or how often can you use them?

When do the Resources recharge? Or how often can you use them? That info would help. They recharge after a long rest, and you can basically use them any time you'd like. Obviously they aren't very useful during combat, but in terms of whether they must be used before a roll or not, there is no limit.

What time of the year is it? How far is the Northern District from our current location? Late summer, or more precisely the 29th day of Arodus in the year 205. And while the largest city in Skalderna, Langen is still relatively small at only 3 square miles, so walking from end to end only takes just over a half an hour. At this moment, you are within Langen castle, at the center of the city proper, so your walk to the northern district is only 10 minutes or so.

I love this game already Yeah as you already know John (and Dave, if he ever gets his butt in gear), but I would've probably warned Neil and Kurt: my games and stories are very RP heavy and involve plenty of character interaction. I'll definitely butt in though to stir the pot more

I'd drive things investigation-wise, but my character doesn't really WANT to be doing this and just takes opportunities to insult them all while doing the bare minimum.

Neil, would we already know about your abilities?

I was basically gangpressed into it. The society knows for sure.I'm like the use their power against them guy. Though I have mostly utility spells so my goal is to not let the public know, but use it to our advantage. Jesse?

Makes sense to me. I assumed they'd know, but wanted to leave it to you if you wanted to hide it or not. I'm guessing you're not going to go around blabbing who you are, but a mage being brought into the Society and used as a weapon was probably big news.

Yeah i guess it makes sense that we know. So my comments were like a double fuck you. Yeah, I thought you were just being a dick. But I figure most of the Society hates me or at least thinks I should have been put down.
