Actually the Imperial presence was strong as is and has increased significantly since rumours of a massive battle station being destroyed by a terrorist group. The industrial regions of Kolatill produce a tremendous amount of repulsorlifts used in speeders and transport equipment.

I will update Dog's name to Nimm Targon after I used a SW name generator. But Dog is fine as a nickname. Seeing it used I felt it wasn't very Star Wars'y
